Where do I start, the first lesson I had with him he sussed out where I was with my training, he analyzed what I could do and broke it down and put it in simple terms I understood, he remembers what it’s like to be a new student/a beginner, we are learning to drive heavy rigid trucks, and good training is important, I had been to see another instructor and was told so much information that was incorrect, John has industry experience and has spent many years driving all types of trucks and trailer combinations, he specializes in road ranger and not only helps with understanding of the gearbox but helps with telling you information about towing trailers in various situations. As a new driver I was able to get an insight into the industry about what to expect and and to take my time and learn my trade at the bottom work your way up from little trucks and move onto bigger stuff once you’re comfortable.
The industry needs more guys like John to help us younger drivers be safer on the road.

Highly recommend John! I had never touched a crashbox till I started with John and within the first hour I was shifting up and down the gears. He made learning very easy and also made it fun. I even scored a job a month later.

John was an excellent instructor, he went above and beyond to make sure that I was highly competent driving crash box, test day was a wet day and I had one of the toughest examiners, if it wasn’t for John’s tuition I would’ve struggle to pass, but thanks to him it was all done in a breeze!
