There are 3 gearbox options.
Please read the text below, it explains each one in detail.
If you've held your Queensland drivers' licence for at least two years, you can apply for an HR truck licence in Queensland. There are 3 different gear box types you can do these include:
Auto (automatic)
B Condition (normal manual) If you hold a manual car licence, you can do your truck lkicence test in an HR auto and you will receive an HR B condition automatically, as you already have a manual licence (in truck terms a B Condition). In hindsight, you are upgrading your vehicle size to HR as you already have a manual licence.
Open (Road Ranger 18-speed crash box etc.) - open allows you to drive any gearbox type. A lot of big serious truck companies look upon an open license very favourably, opening up your job prospects even wider as it is well respected in the truck industry as the the most skilled licence.
If you hold an automatic truck licence or B condition, you can probably get a job tomorrow, however an open licence opens all door to all types of truck driving work as you can drive anything.

Step 1: Send us your licence
Firstly, you will need to send us a copy of your licence so we can run a licence check to make sure you are eligible and there are no hiccups in this regard.
