The Gold Coast Truck Driving School is a Family-Owned Australian Business with 30 years in the trucking Industry.
We have qualified trainers who have experience with heavy vehicles and specialize in crash box.Here at the Gold Coast Truck Driving School we pride ourselves on teaching at an affordable price and to a high level. Call us for Brisbane truck licence, Gold Coast truck licences or Tweed Heads truck licences.

Requirements

A HR (Heavy Riged) Licence is the highest class of truck licence you can obtain from holding a car licence. You must hold a car (open or P Class) for at least 24 months to be eligible for a HR licence (12 months for MR Medium Rigid).Class LR, MR, HR, HC or MC (heavy vehicle) must complete a road rules knowledge test. You must answer at least 8 out of 10 multiple choice questions correctly on the road rules for heavy vehicles. You don’t need to take this test if you already have an Australian heavy vehicle licence.

(HR) Heavy Rigid / (HC) Heavy Combination Open Truck Licenses

Full Noise Package

$1385 (HR) $1475 (HC) (EXC GST)

(8 Hours Training + 2 Hours Qld Transport Test)
– This package has 8 Hours of training. Includes up to 2hrs usage of truck during QLD Transport test.

Additional $65 Queensland Transport test fee will apply at time of booking.
This lesson can be spread out over a week (for example 2 hours per day) This package is highly recommended to pass test. 90% of new drivers need at least 8 hours training in crash box over 3 or 4 days.

Road House Package

$1135 (HR) $1175 (HC)(EXC GST)

(6 Hours Training + 2 Hours Qld
Transport Test)
– This package has 8 Hours of training. Includes up to 2hrs usage of truck during QLD Transport test.

Additional $65 Queensland Transport test fee will apply at time of booking.
This lesson can be spread out over 2-3 days and is designed for drivers with little experience or wanting to go to the next level.

Fleet Package

$895 (HR) $925 (HC)(EXC GST)

(4 Hours Training + 2 Hours Qld
Transport Test)
– This package has 4 hours of training. Includes up to 2hrs usage of truck during QLD Transport test.

Additional $65 Queensland Transport test fee will apply at time of booking. e
We recommend this package over a 2 day period. 2 hours training on the first day and 2 hours training just before the test. It’s designed for someone with prior crash box experience.

Road Ranger Package

$595 (HR) $625 (HC) (EXC GST)

(2 Hours Training + 2 Hours Qld Transport Test)
– This package has 2 Hours of training. Includes up to 2hrs usage of truck during QLD Transport test.

Additional $65 Queensland Transport test fee will apply at time of booking. This lesson is recommended for drivers who are already skilled in truck driving or who are needing to re-sit their driving test.

Hourly Rate

$150 (HR) $155 (HC)(EXC GST)

(Minimum 2 hours booking unless adding additional hours to another training package).

Overdrive package

$1730 (HR) $1790 (HC)(EXC GST)

(10 Hours Training + 2 Hours Qld Transport Test)
– This package has 10 Hours of training. Includes up to 2hrs usage of truck during Qld Transport test.

Additional $65 Queensland Transport test fee will apply at time of booking. This lesson can be spread out over a week (for example 2 hours per day) This package is highly recommended, 10 hours training in crash box over 3 or 4 days.
